Frequently asked
- How is engagement rate calculated?
- Engagement rate is the average number of interactions (likes + comments) per post divided by the follower count, shown as a percentage. This tool averages a creator’s recent posts to smooth out one-off viral spikes.
- What is a good engagement rate?
- It depends on follower size. Smaller accounts usually see higher rates: roughly 4–8% is strong for an Instagram account under 10K followers, while 1–2% is normal above 1M. TikTok rates run higher. The tool shows the benchmark band for the account’s tier.
- Does a high engagement rate mean a brand deal will go well?
- No. Engagement measures audience interest, not whether a brand pays on time, briefs clearly, or is good to work with. Check the brand’s reliability profile on HonestCollabs before you sign.

Numbers look good. But do they pay on time?
